  1. The homes went up in smokes
The blazing flames took down the lives
The intersection of South Ave was in smokes
The flames ate away at the roof of the 6-complex homes
The house was block from the help of the fires
    The homeowner’s watch helplessly

You hear about stories like this
You never think it will happen a block from your house
    You hope everyone is okay
You see the shrine made by the neighbors
    You hope no one died

The devotion of the homeowner’s is uplighting
Although they were helpless, they stayed positive
The helping hands from the neighbors is inspiring
Although they lost everything, people are stepping in to help
The story is motivational and inspires me to help my fellow neighbors in need

  2. That day he lost his life
to a gun with fully loaded
Never to see ones that love him the most
Skittles and Arizona seem to be the only witness
Bullets were fired alerting the residence
    the rial seemed worthless
Someday justice will be served for him
No matter how long it takes
He will never be able to wake
And open his eye to the beautiful life he lived
    Always in our memories
Football was something he took part in
    Justice for Trayvon Martin

  3. This article is about Zelda Williams; she is honoring her father by getting a very meaningful tattoo on her right hand. The tattoo is of a hummingbird, along with the date of her father’s birth. The drawing was done by Dr. Woo at Hollywood’s famed Shamrock Social. She says “I'll always put my hand out to shake with a smile.” She also goes on to say that this instagram and her twitter, are her only accounts, and any fake accounts should not be given personal information or even click links; even for charity. They could be scamming you. Now to me, this action taken by Zelda was sweet and affectionate. Until she started to talk about her fake accounts. But the action was still inspirational and caring of her to do.

  4. In da newz there is always negative stuff
    Some terroristic shootings in Canada
    Ebola coming over seas
    Enterovirus D68 close to home
The world is seemingly entering turmoil
Some crazy Jihadists choppin heads off
But maybe this is just desserts
Maybe its time to change our ways
We can’t remain static in an ever changing place
It’s time to evolve like a pokemon.
The time has come for a change
Things can go one of two ways
Things can either improve or get dramatically worse
Hopefully we don’t face an apocalypse cause It’s too soon for
The end even though it may be near

  5. In the news article I have found an interesting fact about bears. Bears should be instinct they are very dangerous animals. Bears attack even if they feel endangered by a non-dangerous species. They are very deadly, a black bear has attacked a man Tim Patel he went on a trail with four of him friends. When the rescue unit discovered his body they seen his body covered within the bear and his four friends remaining disappered. The rescue unit decided to look for them but they have not been found. It has been a week since they have discovered Tim’s body with the black bear mauling it

My two favorite holidays are Christmas and New Years Eve i love these holidays because they make me happy and puts me in a good mood. Christmas is the time of year when I unite with my family and we open presents. I don't really like getting Christmas presents i love giving people gifts. I enjoy coming together with my family and having a good time, lots of laughter, memories , and remembrance. New Years Eve is also one of my favorite holidays i love bringing the new year in great with my family and friends. This is the time when i can enjoy myself and watch the ball drop on t.v at 12 in the morning and celebrate it again on New Years Day. I love getting in the holiday spirit and watching christmas movies and watching the snowfall from the sky. I love the feeling of the cold brutal air, I put a lot of layers of clothing on to keep myself warm.

Ever since I was a little my fascination with applying concealer and makeup to accentuate your natural beauty has grown. From smearing my aunt’s bright red lipstick all over my face, multiple times to spending hours watching my mother apply her eyeshadow and mascara every morning. I have grown to love makeup. I started wearing makeup in seventh grade, which consisted of wearing crappy bright pink eyeshadow every single day. An occasional blue eyeshadow was thrown in with cakey foundation powder to cover the face monsters that have grown on my face, I looked like a clown. Ever since I was 2 ½ my sisters and I would get ready for the annual dance recital makeup. I was astonished by the exquisite Estee Lauder: “Rosy and Rich” lipstick that felt sticky on my lips.
Makeup is a form of art. I do not feel as it is making ugly girls prettier. But it is giving even the prettiest girls an extra shot of confidence. Over my years of applying makeup I have gotten quite good. I own every shade of bright purple to dull orange eyeshadow and at least a million tubes of mascara. My favorite thing to do is make amazing masterpieces on my eyes, like crafting spider webs for halloween or making an adaption of Captain America. Makeup is how I express myself. When I’m in school I do not wear much, but enough to show my feelings. When I am tired and depressed I will be facially naked. When I am on cloud nine my makeup is bright and gorgeous. Applying makeup to myself and others is my favorite pass time. It is something I love to do.
Makeup is used as a confidence booster, it makes girls comfortable in their skin.
Although, it’s usually vital in everyone’s everyday routine, it should not become something you rely on. Giving your skin a chance to breathe is necessary, especially because your skin is so important to you. Today I looked in the mirror and realized that I do not need to wear makeup. I look more tired or even completely different to others, but I feel the same way that I do when I wear my everyday makeup, which is just mascara. I love wearing different eyeshadows and doing winged eyeliner, but I feel like I don’t have to wear everyday. And that is something I am very proud of.

  9. The water rushed through the land
    There was nowhere to stand
    People struggled to survive
Into the buildings they had to dive
    The tsunami devistated
    “It was horrible,” people stated
    Rebuilding began shortly after
Despite destruction, there was still laughter
    Surivival was crucial
Food was served in the hall
Kids couldn’t play with a ball
    Most were left with pain
On the street, there was more than a stain
I prefer my hotdogs to be plain
    I take that back
Ketchup is the way to go
People could have lost but said no
    Hurricane Katrina couldn’t win
New Orleans recorded that battle as a win
