The song that I have chosen is meek mill’s dreams and nightmares intro. I choose a specific lyric in this song which is “So I had to grind like that to shine like this, See my dreams unfold, nightmares come true It was time to marry the game and I said, Yeah, I do If you want it you gotta see it with a clear-eyed view”. The specific type of lyric from this song makes me think and this is basically telling me never stop grinding on what your trying to accomplish. No matter what you do your time will come and that when it’s time to shine you got to give it your all no ifs or but’s. What this lyric is trying to say and mean is that you have to picture that dream and like meek mill says you have to see it with a clear-eyed view. No matter what people say or think your going to make it with or without them.
ReplyDeleteThe song I chose is a song by Billy Marlowe called “You Got My Heart”. “You got my heart you don’t need me, Answer to all my questions, try and set me free, you got my heart you don’t need me”. The song lyrics are not updated yet but it’s on a CD. The song is saying how as long as you have someone’s love than you won’t need them there physically. You would have them emotionally and mentally. It’s saying that as long as you got love you won’t need anything else to help you through tough times. That love can be the answer to almost anything. If you have nothing but kids and a wife you won’t need a home as long as everyone is together. This song shows how much you can love someone and appreciate them through everything. Also what the meaning of love is to him, that everyday their feelings get stronger and stronger for another person. It talks about what he had to go through when his wife wasn’t around but he knew he had her love so he didn’t anything else but that. This song was written by my grandfather, and he dedicated it to my grandmother.
ReplyDeleteThe song I chose is from Chris brown called don’t judge me. This song is about a guy talking to his girlfriend or a girl that he just started to talk to. The boy doesn’t want to go there and talk about it he doesn’t want to fight with her about his past. He tells the girl that she’s just hearing rumors about him with another girl having sex. He also said that this all is true but it happened before he gained feelings for her. He tells her to not judge him because they would start to fight and their relationship would start bad, so he wants her to know that he did all of it in the past but know he loves her and he want to be with her and make everything beautiful. He wants to work it out with her and he is trying to tell her not to judge him because his feelings for her weren’t there yet, so he is just saying let’s start fresh and new before it gets ugly. He tells her not to judge him and he won’t judge her because the feelings weren’t there for him to love her. He doesn’t want to fight with her he want everything to be good and start new because the past is the past. Know he has feelings and he won’t do what he did before.

ReplyDeleteIt's caving in around me
ReplyDeleteWhat I thought was solid ground
I've tried to look the other way, but I couldn't turn around It's okay for you to hate me, for all the things I've done I've made a few mistakes, but I'm not the only one
Step away from the ledge, I'm coming down
I could never be, what you want me to
You pull me under, to save yourself
You will never see, what's inside of me
I'll pull you under just to save myself
Was there ever any question, on how much I could take
You kept feeding me your bulls**t, hoping I would break
Is there anybody out there, is there anyone who cares Is there anybody listening, will they hear my final prayers
Step away from the ledge, I'm coming down
I could never be, what you want me to
You pull me under, to save yourself
You will never see, what's inside of me
I'll pull you under just to save myself
It's getting in around me, it's tearing me apart
It's all coming down around me
Does anyone, anyone, care at all
I will never be, what you want me to
You pull me under, I pull you under
I could never be, what you want me to
You pull me under, to save yourself
You will never see, what's inside of me
I'll pull you under just to save myself
Coming down by Five Finger Death Punch is a song with a good meaning behind it. It talks about those who are bullied and tormented by other people through their life. It also talks about what they may wind up doing. The step away from the ledge is the person on the ledge of a building about to jump and kill themselves. That can be stopped by anyone who just tries to help by talking to them or showing one ounce of kindness. Those who do wind up killing themselves feel like they are alone and the world is tearing them apart and every single stable thing in their life is caving in around them. That is what the lyrics mean if you just listen. Then they are filled with the lies that just thrust in their face, feeding the bulls**t, so they can break under the thumb of another. They are pulled under by all the torment that they can’t work with normal life and escape it by suscide.
This song, “Want You Back” by Kanye West, Teyana Taylor and Joe Budden is saying that people always get did wrong or hurt by the people they thought the highest of. In the particular song, it’s talking about relationships and how men have a good woman and decide to play her. At the same time, men feel as though women do them wrong too. Some people don’t think about how decisions can affect a person and they think after hurting someone, they can automatically be forgiven. I’ve seen this happen time and time again, with those around me. I’ve seen my friends get cheated on or do the cheating and then think they should just be forgiven for their mistakes. It doesn’t always work that way and the lyrics to the song actually makes sense. Kanye is using specific examples like being cheated on by basketball players and other cases. It’s basically saying people leave for dumb reason and then feel as though they deserve second chances. People aren’t allowed to come and go as they please, just because they feel like it. This is what the song is basically trying to get at. It has many curse words but aside from that, the song actually speaks true feelings. When you think a person wants you back and they actually don’t, it makes one think; “You never know what you have until it’s gone.”
ReplyDeleteBorn to Run by Bruce Springsteen
ReplyDeleteIn the day we sweat it out in the streets of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines
Sprung from cages out on highway 9,
Chrome wheeled, fuel injected and steppin out over the line
Baby this town rips the bones from your back
Its a death trap, it's a suicide rap
We gotta get out while were young
`cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run
Wendy let me in I wanna be your friend
I want to guard your dreams and visions
Just wrap your legs round these velvet rims
And strap your hands across my engines
Together we could break this trap
Well run till we drop, baby well never go back
Will you walk with me out on the wire
`cause baby Im just a scared and lonely rider
But I gotta find out how it feels
I want to know if love is wild, girl I want to know if love is real
Beyond the palace hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard
The girls comb their hair in rearview mirrors
And the boys try to look so hard
The amusement park rises bold and stark
Kids are huddled on the beach in a mist
I wanna die with you Wendy on the streets tonight
In an everlasting kiss
The highways jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive
Everybodys out on the run tonight but there's no place left to hide
Together wendy well live with the sadness
Ill love you with all the madness in my soul
Someday girl I don't know when were gonna get to that place
Where we really want to go and well walk in the sun
But till then tramps like us baby we were born to run
To me this song has many different meanings. The most prevalent meaning is escape. The person wants to get the person he loves and escape from this town he describes as a death trap. The lyrics don’t say this, but he is ultimately describing a town near the Jersey shore that he wants to escape from. He describes this town as a place where people are hung from cages and that the whole place is chaotic. The line ‘The highways jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive” shows that there are other people trying to escape as well, and some aren’t as lucky. He promises his love that someday they will get to that place where they really want to go, and then they will be happy. We never find out if he actually gets to that place, or if he gets pulled back into the death trap, but that is what’s so good about the song, you can make up your own ending.
I never thought that you would be the one to hold my heart
ReplyDeleteBut you came around and you knocked me off the ground from the start
You put your arms around me
And I believe that it's easier for you to let me go
You put your arms around me and I'm home
How many times will you let me change my mind and turn around?
I can't decide if I'll let you save my life or if I'll drown
I hope that you see right through my walls
I hope that you catch me 'cause I'm already falling
I'll never let a love get so close
You put your arms around me and I'm home
The world is coming down on me and I can't find a reason to be loved
I never wanna leave you but I can't make you bleed if I'm alone
You put your arms around me
And I believe that it's easier for you to let me go...
I hope that you see right through my walls
I hope that you catch me, 'cause I'm already falling
I'll never let a love get so close
You put your arms around me and I'm home
I tried my best to never let you in to see the truth
And I've never opened up
I've never truly loved 'til you put your arms around me
And I believe that it's easier for you to let me go
I hope that you see right through my walls
I hope that you catch me, 'cause I'm already falling
I'll never let a love get so close
You put your arms around me and I'm home
You put your arms around me and I'm home
This song is called Arms by Christina Perri. She is one of my top artist that I truly admire. Her lyrics are so full of meaning and passion, it’s something that I can relate to. This song is basically her talking about this one boy caught her by surprise, she never knew that she would fall in love with him.
"I never wanna leave you, but I can't make you bleed if I'm alone"
This seems to be the most confusing line in the whole song. I personally believe that this is talking about how she doesn't wish to hurt him. She clearly states that she never wants to leave him, the next line contradicts this. "But I can’t make you bleed if I'm alone" could also be seen as 'If I'm with you, you will bleed’ She loves him but she is afraid to hurt him, hence that contradictory/confusing line.
“The world is coming down on me and I can't find a reason to be loved...”
This line basically tells us how everything is going wrong and she doesn’t think he’ll love her any longer. This whole deal is making her feel bad and she wonders if they should end it. She loves him; She never wants to leave him but she keeps hurting him because she’s scared. She doesn’t understand why he loves her.
“I tried my best to never let you in to see the truth and I've never opened up I've never truly loved Til you put your arms around and I believe that it's easier for you to let me go”
She tried to never let him see how much she loved and needed him, who she really was and who she wanted them to be. She has never loved until she met him, and realized how insecure she was about the whole idea of love and attachment.
The Song
ReplyDeleteDiva-Beyonce
This song represents the power of the women and that men aren’t the only ones who make all of the money or the only ones who bring bread to the table, we also work. This also represents the independence of grown women that don’t need to depend on others for her sake; we can do it on our own. It’s a song to independencies the ladies because we always get ridiculed by men and humiliated by them because they think we aren’t as tough as them, the men think that they will take over us women which are not true at all. Men think that we need them in order to succeed so this song proves to them that they are wrong for the fact that there are many women out there that have made it on their own and are successful. Women are strong and can do whatever we like without having to listen to others just for their own satisfactory.
Let me love you by Ne-Yo
ReplyDeleteMuch as you blame yourself, you can't be blamed for the way that you feel
Had no example of a love, that was even remotely real
How can you understand something that you never had
Ooh baby if you let me, I can help you out with all of that
Girl let me love you
And I will love you
Until you learn to love yourself
Girl let me love you
And all your trouble
Don't be afraid, girl let me help
Girl let me love you
And I will love you
Until you learn to love yourself
Girl let me love you
A heart of numbness, gets brought to life
I'll take you there
Girl let me love you
Girl let me love you baby, oh
Girl let me love yo
Girl let me love you baby
Girl let me love you
Let me love you, let me love you, oh
I can see the pain behind your eyes
It's been there for quite a while
I just wanna be the one to remind you what it is to smile
I would like to show you what true love can really do
Girl let me love you
And I will love you
Until you learn to love yourself
Girl let me love you
And all your trouble
Don't be afraid, girl let me help
Girl let me love you
And I will love you
Until you learn to love yourself
Girl let me love you
A heart of numbness, gets brought to life
I'll take you there
Girl let me love you baby
Girl let me love you
Let me love you, let me love you baby
Girl let me love you
Girl let me love you baby
Girl let me love you
Let me love you, girl let me love you baby
For every heart that beat
For every heart that beat
For every heart that beat
For every heart that beat, heart that beat...
Girl let me love you
And I will love you
Until you learn to love yourself
Girl let me love you
And all your trouble
Don't be afraid, girl let me help
Girl let me love you
And I will love you
Until you learn to love yourself
Girl let me love you
A heart of numbness, gets brought to life
I'll take you there
Girl let me love you
Let me love you baby, love you baby
Girl let me love you
Let me love you baby, love you baby
This song means is let me love you and you can see how you are supposed to be loved by someone. It is him telling the girl that she is special and brought a light into his world. He is talking about that if she lets him in her life he will show her the love that she has been missing. He is telling her that once she lets him to love her the way she deserves to be loved she will accept herself and love herself she needs to love herself. All he wants to do is be there for her and let her know that he wants to bring her heart back to life. He knows that she has been put through pain but he will be there to help her out and help her find out how it feels to have a true smile. He wants her to feel how she can finally can learn how to love again and that he will help her and her broken heart and all he wants to do is love her.
"My Immortal"
ReplyDeleteI'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone
These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
[
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me
You used to captivate me
By your resonating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me
These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
[
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me
I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
I've been alone all along
[
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me
This song by Evanescence has a deep and dark meaning. The speaker has had a relationship with someone who was really affected her life. Even though the relationship is over, she still cannot get over how difficult it was. Wherever she goes and whatever she does, she cannot stop thinking of this person. His presence still lingers there, and won’t leave her alone. In the chorus the speaker says “These wounds won’t seem to heal, this pain is just too real.” His personality and his leaving have scarred her for life it seems. It also seems this person has gone through a lot when the speaker says “When you cried, I’d wipe away all of your tears,” and so on. It is clear she has been with him through aweful times, and will never forget how troubled he was.
In the second verse, we breefley get to understanding that this relationship had once been pleasant, hence the line, “You used to captivate me by your resinating light.” Now, he has haunted her dreams, and made her miserable, and even crazy. No matter how much she tries to tell herself he is gone, she can never forget him.
“When I was young me and my mama had beef
ReplyDeleteSeventeen years old kicked out on the streets
Though back at the time, I never thought I'd see her face
Ain't a woman alive that could take my mama's place
Suspended from school; and scared to go home, I was a fool
with the big boys, breakin all the rules
I shed tears with my baby sister
Over the years we was poorer than the other little kids
And even though we had different daddy's, the same drama
When things went wrong we'd blame mama
I reminice on the stress I caused, it was hell
Huggin on my mama from a jail cell
And who'd think in elementary?
Heeey! I see the penitentiary, one day
And runnin from the police, that's right
Mama catch me, put a whoopin to my backside
And even as a crack fiend, mama
You always was a black queen, mama
I finally understand
for a woman it ain't easy tryin to raise a man
You always was committed
A poor single mother on welfare, tell me how ya did it
There's no way I can pay you back
But the plan is to show you that I understand
You are appreciated
Now ain't nobody tell us it was fair
No love from my daddy cause the coward wasn't there
He passed away and I didn't cry, cause my anger
wouldn't let me feel for a stranger
They say I'm wrong and I'm heartless, but all along
I was lookin for a father he was gone
I hung around with the Thugs, and even though they sold drugs
They showed a young brother love
I moved out and started really hangin
I needed money of my own so I started slangin
I ain't guilty cause, even though I sell rocks
It feels good puttin money in your mailbox
I love payin rent when the rent's due
I hope ya got the diamond necklace that I sent to you
Cause when I was low you was there for me
And never left me alone because you cared for me
And I could see you comin home after work late
You're in the kitchen tryin to fix us a hot plate
Ya just workin with the scraps you was given
And mama made miracles every Thanksgivin
But now the road got rough, you're alone
You're tryin to raise two bad kids on your own
And there's no way I can pay you back
But my plan is to show you that I understand
You are appreciated
Pour out some liquor and I reminsce, cause through the drama
I can always depend on my mama
And when it seems that I'm hopeless
You say the words that can get me back in focus
When I was sick as a little kid
To keep me happy there's no limit to the things you did
And all my childhood memories
Are full of all the sweet things you did for me
And even though I act craaazy
I gotta thank the Lord that you made me
There are no words that can express how I feel
You never kept a secret, always stayed real
And I appreciate, how you raised me
And all the extra love that you gave me
I wish I could take the pain away
If you can make it through the night there's a brighter day
Everything will be alright if ya hold on
It's a struggle everyday, gotta roll on
And there's no way I can pay you back
But my plan is to show you that I understand
You are appreciated”
The song that I’ve picked is called “dear mama” by Tupac the reason I picked this song is because it relates to A lot of people out there who love their mothers, Like Tupac I was also raise by a single mother and I made it out okay with her and this songs makes me appreciate her in and all she has done for me and my brothers. The meaning of this song shows how Tupac was always being a bad kid, from suspensions, jail time to even selling drugs and being happy to give money back to his mom. After the loss of his father Tupac didn’t care much as he said in this lines,
“Now ain't nobody tell us it was fair
No love from my daddy cause the coward wasn't there
He passed away and I didn't cry, cause my anger
wouldn't let me feel for a stranger”
And because of that he showed more love for his mother than father.

ReplyDeleteIf I'm a bad person, you don't like me
Well, I guess I'll make my own way
It's a circle, a mean cycle I can't excite you anymore
Where's your gavel? You jury? What's my offense this time?
You're not a judge but if you're gonna judge me.
Well, sentence me to another life
Don't wanna hear your sad songs I don't wanna feel your pain
When you swear it's all my fault 'cause you know we're not the same
No, we're not the same, oh, we're not the same
Yeah, I've got friends who stuck together
We wrote our names in blood
But I guess you can't accept that the change is good
It's good, it's good
Well, you treat me just like another stranger
Well, it's nice to meet you, sir I guess I'll go, I best be on my way out
You treat me just like another stranger
Well, it's nice to meet you, sir I guess I'll go, I best be on my way out
Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend
This is the best thing that could've happened
Any longer, and I wouldn't have made it It's not a war, no, it's not a rapture I'm just a person, but you can't take it
The same tricks that, that once fooled me They won't get you anywhere I'm not the same kid from your memory Well, now I can fend for myself
Don't wanna hear your sad songs I don't wanna feel your pain
When you swear it's all my fault 'cause you know we're not the same
No, we're not the same, oh, we're not the same
Yeah, we used to stick together

You treat me just like another stranger
Well, it's nice to meet you, sir Well, I guess I'll go, I best be on my way out
Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend
Well, you treat me just like another stranger
Well, it's nice to meet you, sir
Well, I guess I'll go, I best be on my way out
You treat me just like another stranger
Well, it's nice to meet you, sir I guess I'll go, I best be on my way out
This song is based around multiple topics. One of the main topics is how change can be a good and bad thing. The artist says that she has made a change and has certain friends that stuck behind her through this change. That through everything she does they will stick by her side. She also had friends who didn’t accept the changes she made. Those friends that didn’t stick with her are the same ones who try to judge her all the time. They also made changes themselves and pretend as if they were never friends with the artist. They just pass her as if she’s just another stranger on the street. So instead of feeling offended by this the author just accepts this and moves on knowing that that specific person was definitely no one special to them. Also that if that person stayed in their lives they would’ve continued to be judged and wouldn’t be able to make the choices they wish to have.
This has a sad, but true, life application.
DeleteYou've done it all, you've broken every code
ReplyDeleteAnd pulled the rebel to the floor
You spoilt the game, no matter what you say
For only metal - what a bore!
Blue eyes, blue eyes, how come you tell so many lies?
Come up and see me, make me smile
Or do what you want, run on wild
There's nothing left, all gone and run away
Maybe you'll tarry for a while
It's just a test, a game for us to play
Win or lose, it's hard to smile
Resist, resist, it's from yourself you have to hide
Come up and see me, make me smile
Or do what you want, run on wild
There ain't no more, you've taken everything
From my believe in Mother Earth
How can you ignore my faith in everything
When I know what Faith is and what it's worth
Away, away, and don't say maybe you'll try
Come up and see me, make me smile
Or do what you want, run on wild
The name of the song that I chose is Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me). This song is by Steve Harley, released in 1975. It later was covered by Duran Duran in 1982. I feel as though it means abandonment. “There ain’t no more, you’ve taken everything.” That lyric from the song is an example that someone might have left, and there is nothing left. It’s hard to smile when you’re alone, and nothing is there. This song basically is telling about how hard things can be and how lonely people can feel when somebody leaves you. If you take everything away that somebody had, they won’t have anything left. I feel as though this song means that when someone is abandoned, and if that person comes back, the one who was abandoned will laugh in that person’s face. He will laugh when the person who abandoned him comes back. “Make me smile.” Pretty much means make me laugh, I think it’s funny that you came back to me.
Krispy Kreme’s song “baddest” has a lot of meaning to me to it. This song is informing everyone the Krispy Kreme is the baddest of any person in the world. It also tell of how it is possible to get girls even when you are short, this means a lot to me because I am not the tallest person and I sometimes get made fun of because of my height. This song makes me feel better because I now believe that if I have stacks of money than I too can get girls. This song is very important to me because it gives me hope for getting girls. It also talks about how he had to fight his whole life, and I had to fight my whole life too, metaphorically. This song is also very important because it tells about how he has made out with every girl in the world, and that is good to know because now I know that if I ever get a girlfriend, Krispy Kreme has made out with her.
ReplyDelete[Intro]
Krispy Kreme!
2012, yeah, we back up in this
Y'all already know
Cause
[Hook]
I am the baddest of them all
If you ain't 'bout money, then I don't mess with y'all
Y'all think I don't get girls, cause I ain't very tall
If she see my stacks, I bet you that she calls
[Verse 1]
I had to fight my whole life
I could beat you up even if you had one thousand knives
Even if you had infinity knives
I would punch you up into the air like a kite
I bet you sleep with a nightlight
Cause you're scared of the dark
Cause you stink like a fart
Well I'll light your fart on fire with my rounds
You think I won't? I do it all the time
I bet I got more money than Jay-Z
Compared to me, Jay-Z is Lay-Z
Plus Beyonce thinks that I'm cute
It's okay Beyonce, I think you're cute too
I made out with so many girls
Made out with every girl in the world
I might look small, but I'm not
I don't care if you're big, I'll fight you a lot
You know that
[Hook]
[Verse 2]
I have four hundred cars
I have four hundred scars and four hundred guitars
I have four hundred houses
I have four hundred mouses and four hundred houses
Bet you I can dance better than you
I bet you you don't know two plus two
It's four! It's four!
Now go and shut the door
Cause nobody wants to see your face no more
I'm tough as nails
You're slower than a snail
I beat up every single person in jail
I dare you to try and punch me
My face is so hard you'll say, "Ouch, you crunched me"
I fought two lions and won
And I don't even carry a gun
But I never run, but I never run
But I never r-r-r-r, but I never run
You know you know that
She spins and she sways
ReplyDeleteTo whatever song plays
Without a care in the world
And I'm sitting here wearing
The weight of the world on my shoulders
It's been a long day
And there's still work to do
She's pulling at me
Saying "Dad, I need you
There's a ball at the castle
And I've been invited
And I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone...
She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I approve of the dress
She says, "Dad, the prom is just one week away
And I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
She will be gone
Well, she came home today with a ring on her hand
Just glowing and telling us all they had planned
She says, "Dad, the wedding's still six months away
But I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"
So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone
The song Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman is a very powerful and moving song. This song when it was made was a very nice and simple meaning. He wants to spend as much time with his daughter before she grows up and gets married. So he talks about teaching her how to dance in time for her school dance and her wedding dance. The saddest part of the whole song is that a couple months after this song came out Chapman’s daughter died. This song went from being a nice song that people would listen to for fun to a very sad song that brings tears to people’s eyes every time they hear it. This song is now an example of how precious life is and how short it can really be. No one knows when they will lose a loved one and so you should spend as much time as you can with them until they are gone forever.
The song I selected for this prompt is Bob Marley’s “Don’t worry, Be happy”. The main part of the song is known worldwide but there is a hidden theme behind the song. The song talks about how life can put you through real troubles. You can find yourself out of a house or a place to stay but you should stay happy. Even if you have no girl in your life and you have no money just stay happy no matter what. Marley believed that life was meant to be enjoyed no matter what the situation or the hard times you have to deal with. As long as you’re alive and not sick be happy that you can at least still live life. He wanted to tell everyone that they need to enjoy life because it can always get better.
ReplyDeleteHere's a little song i wrote,
you might want to sing it note for note,
don't worry, be happy
in every life we have some trouble,
when you worry you make it double
don't worry, be happy
dont worry be happy now
dont worry be happy
dont worry be happy
dont worry be happy
dont worry be happy
aint got no place to lay your head,
somebody came and took your bed,
don't worry, be happy
the landlord say your rent is late,
he may have to litagate,
dont worry (small laugh) be happy,
look at me im happy,
don't worry, be happy
i give you my phone number,
when your worried, call me,
i make you happy
don't worry, be happy
aint got no cash, aint got no style,
aint got no gal to make you smile
but don't worry, be happy
cos when you worry, your face will frown,
and that will bring everybody down,
so don't worry, be happy
don't worry, be happy now...
don't worry, be happy
don't worry, be happy
don't worry, be happy
don't worry, be happy
now there this song i wrote
i hope you you learned it note for note

dont worry, be happy
dont worry, be happy
dont worry, be happy
dont worry
dont worry be happy
don't worry, don't worry, don't do it,
be happy, put a smile on your face,
don't bring everybody down like this
don't worry, it will soon pass whatever it is,
don't worry, be happy,

ReplyDeleteBeing alone are you scared of being alone,
worried you'll be a shadow terrified of getting old
Insomnia tapers your eyelids and the aderol taught you how I lived
So flip a coin for every shade of gray
I bet you pick a needle to bargain with
Heads I bet you fall asleep,
Get tangled in the sheets,
Suffocate as you choke at the thought of your own dreams,
You never fail to feel hollow now hush and let the dark swallow
Move a little closer, what are you afraid of
Set the night on fire, baby burn it up
Tattooed on your chest, I.S.S.U.E.S
Move a little closer, what are you afraid of
Zanies and panties on the floor,
To numb the pain
Another one night stand at the door you go insane
I can see you sleep through your bedroom window
You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming
I'm manic depressive
Flipping coins for my fate
Ain't that impressive,
Tails you never fail to feel hollow now hush and let the dark swallow
Move a little closer, what are you afraid of
Set the night on fire, baby burn it up
Tattooed on your chest, I.S.S.U.E.S
Move a little closer, what are you afraid of
I'm manic depressive
Flipping coins for my fate
Ain't that impressive
This song is complex to decipher, but once the meaning is clear, it’s a simple lesson that should be followed. It comes down to the fact that many people in this world miss out on great opportunities because they are more afraid of failing than they are of trying in the first place. They are unfortunately afraid of their dreams. The line “you kill yourself with lucid dreaming” explains this; lucid dreaming is when one can take control of their dreams and do whatever they want in it. The people the song are talking about use this and kill themselves with it because they’re too afraid to make these lucid dreams into a reality. Many lines describe when people start to get an ounce of courage to chase their goals; they choke up and suffocate themselves with anxiety. “Insomnia tapers your eyelids” and “zanies and panties on the floor” are two examples. It’s inevitable that one dreams, but it isn’t set in stone that they can’t chase these dreams instead of being suffocated and tortured by them. Don’t hold back in life, within reason of course.
I chose a song by Meek mill because it tells you to keep chasing your dream and it's really inspiring to me because it says (dream chaser keep chasin grind will turn into your shine be patient yeah a hundred and runnin tryna catch up to my dream so you know im forrest gumpin i'm a dream chaser x10)it teachings to always follow and go catch your dream of what you want to do in life wether it's to make a difference in others lives or yours it's self. Also it's can teach to have determenation about what you want to do and to show what you will do to chase your dreams, and it can tell you what you want to do with your life and that you can accomplish anything if you just put your mind to it.
ReplyDeletealso what you can learn from this is that you are pursuing the thing that you want to do and that you follow your own path also don't let anyone else tell you different and never let anyone tell you different that you can't do or chase your dream and be a dream chaser
DeleteInclude the lyrics and title please.
DeleteYou're not in this alone let me break this awkward silence
ReplyDeleteLet me go, go on record, be the first to say I'm sorry hear me out
Well if you take me down or would you lay me out?
And if the world needs something better
Let's give them one more reason now
We walk in single file
We light our rails and punch our time
Ride escalators colder than a cell
This broken city sky, like butane on my skin stolen from my eyes
Hello, Angel tell me, where are you? Tell me where we go from here
This broken city sky, like butane on my skin stolen from my eyes
Hello, Angel tell me, where are you? Tell me where we go from here
Tell me we go from
And in this moment we can't close the lids on burning eyes
Our memories blanket us with friends we know, like fallout vapor
Steel corpses stretch out towards an ending sun, scorched and black
It reaches in and tears your flesh apart, as ice cold hands rip into your heart
That's if you've still got one that's left inside that cave you call a chest
And after seeing what we saw, can we still reclaim our innocence?
And if the world needs something better
Let's give them one more reason now
This broken city sky, like butane on my skin stolen from my eyes
Hello, Angel tell me, where are you? Tell me where we go from here
This broken city sky, like butane on my skin stolen from my eyes
Hello, Angel tell me, where are you? Tell me where we go from here
Tell me we go from here

This song, Skylines and Turnstiles by My Chemical Romance, describes the view that the vocalist, Gerard Way, witnessed on 9/11 as he stood on a NYC street. The first verse can be interpreted as Gerard’s sympathy towards the victims and their families after witnessing the horrors first hand. He tells the victims and families that they are not going through this terror alone. In fact, he was there on the day of the attack, which gives him much sympathy and understanding. The second verse describes the sights a 9/11 victim sees in the building. It describes what they would do on a normal day for comparison to the abnormality which was this attack.
The chorus describes the feeling of “butane on his skin” which is simply a comparison for what the air was like after the attack with debris flying around which could be described as a burning sensation to the skin. Then, Gerard asks where they go from here, which simply means that this tragedy’s is to such a large extent that the country comes to entire halt, unsure of which direction to turn in. The whole country is so horror-stricken and scared with no sense of what to do now.
The song I choose is Thank You by Estelle. The story behind this song is a woman’s reaction to infidelity. She makes it known in her song that although she has been hurt and heartbroken, she feels stronger than ever. “These tears I cry sure won’t be the last, they will not be the last, this pain inside never seems to pass It never seems to pass me by, so I thank you, Said I thank you yes I thank you for making me a woman.” In this verse she accepts the fact that she’s been hurt and betrayed and lets him know that she’ll be okay. “One thing I learned in life, that is, Gotta be ready to sacrifice to survive I hope she’s happy ‘Cuz you’re the chapter that I’ll be closing Hope you’re happy ‘Cuz once my door closes it won’t be open.” In other words she’s saying in this verse that she doesn’t want him back. If he wants to come back he’s out of luck because he won’t be receiving another chance. She also lets him know at the end of the day she’ll have the last laugh.
ReplyDeleteThe song I chose to write about is Best Friend by Krispy Kreme. Krispy Kreme talks about saying his best friends Money maker Mike from James who is a really bad person. James and Money Maker Mike had beef last week because James ran over Mike’s bike with his jeep. James was a bad person because he had guns and drugs. The main point of the song is because all best friends having each other’s back because if they don’t have each other’s back there’s nobody who’s going to have their back. The part that touched me the most was when Krispy Kreme looked to the sky and cried one tear because he is scared about the situation he is in and asked ‘God, I hope that You're with me
ReplyDeleteAnd don't let me die cause Mike's gonna miss me" just knowing Krispy Kreme is a best friend like that touches my heart.
They had Mike, and I knew it was my job to get Mike back because Mike was my best friend, and I told him that if anything ever happened to him, I would be there for him. Well, it was time for me to be a man of my word. I had to save Mike
They got Mike, we gotta get him back
Cause I told him I would always have his back
We've been friends back when we was this tall
We was making money before we could even crawl
Now they took him, I don't know what to do
But we got one rule, don't mess with the crew
It's all for one and one for all
We die for our brothers, that's how we ball
I made some calls and got some names
I heard about some guy named James
James and Mike had beef last week
Cause James ran over Mike's bike with his Jeep
I found out where James's house was
James had guns, and James sold drugs
So I knew that it was gonna be hard work
But I wasn't scared cause James is a dumb jerk
I said, "Mike, I'm coming for you, homie"
Cause Mike's always got my back when I'm lonely
And I always got his back when we fight
I'm coming for you, Mike, I'm a save your life
I said, "Mike, I'm coming for you, homie"
Cause Mike's always got my back when I'm lonely
And I always got his back when we fight
I'm coming for you, Mike, I'm a save your life
I got dressed in my camouflage gear
I looked to the sky, and I cried one tear
I said, "God, I hope that You're with me
And don't let me die cause Mike's gonna miss me"
So I started off towards James's house
And I was moving quiet like a mouse
I seen Mike tied up in the street
There were ropes around his hands and ropes around his feet
James ran up, and he began swinging
But he was no match for the fire I was bringing
I knocked James out with one punch
Y-yep, yep, he had a knuckle sandwich for lunch
I ran over, and I untied Mike
And then we both took off on my bike
I said, "Mike, I love you, big homie"
He said, "I'll always have your back when you're lonely"
I said, "Mike, I'm coming for you, homie"
Cause Mike's always got my back when I'm lonely
And I always got his back when we fight
I'm coming for you, Mike, I'm a save your life
I said, "Mike, I'm coming for you, homie"
Cause Mike's always got my back when I'm lonely
And I always got his back when we fight
I'm coming for you, Mike, I'm a save your life
This song's for all you best friends out there, 'kay? You make sure you always got each other's backs, you understand? Cause if you don't have each other's backs, ain't nobody gonna have your back. Rest in peace, 2Pac Shakur. Everybody misses you. Peace!
Constantly judging me
ReplyDeleteJust because I talk like a lady
Don't make me laugh
That's barking up the wrong tree.
But sometimes there have to be
There have to be fun things too
I want to be satisfied
With just waiting around
Disappearing from sight
I saw a nightmare
In which the child died
Spinning and mingling I will sever this past!
Hey, is it ok to jump right in?
That girl is aiming at my rose
I will not forgive you if you run away
Because I’m Ib’s friend
I think red is nice
But I do not dislike blue either
And you say the things I do
Are because I'm selfish?
I'm a seaweed head or I’m a suspicious person
If you want to say it, just say so
Other people's values?
I do not know about them
From the palm of my hand
Fell what looked like blue flower petals
Spinning and dancing
This feeling is unbearable
So, show me now what you have
Garry or Mary? Which will win?
Who will you chose?
Even if what you really want is here all along
Death of the Individual or Worry
After all, this is his world
And just like that, everything is thrown away
Just think, isn't it good?
Well, being extreme is nice, right?
So which part doesn't satisfy you?
If it gets too much you can trust me
Because, well just take my hand
Well then, if you make a choice
Make sure you don't look away until the end
No matter where we go, we will not stop
But you know, we’re reaching the end
Ah, I can't take this anymore...
This song is called “E? Ah Sou” by an internet trap singer named 96neko. The song is spilt into three parts; one male, one female, and the very last line is done by a different girl. The song itself relates to the game Ib. Ib is an adventure/horror game where you play as a little girl named Ib. Trapped in an bizarre art world where paintings come to life, you must find your way back to the real world. You find that your life is now attached to a rose, so if it wilts, so do you. Along the way, you make two friends. Garry plays as your guardian in the art world while Mary plays as your new best friend. However Mary is actually one of the paintings, which means she can’t escape into the real world unless she takes somebody else’s place. Fighting to go back into the real world with Ib, Mary and Garry try to get rid of each other. In the end Ib must choose, who will come back with her? Different endings can be achieved, that’s why the line “I will sever this past” appears. The line “From the palm of my hand fell what looked like blue flower petals. Spinning and dancing, this feeling is unbearable” relates to the one ending where Mary kills Garry by ripping his blue rose to shreds. This song really describes the rivalry between these two characters. It shows how much they really do love the main player, Ib. However, as the last line “Ah, I can't take this anymore” shows that this constant struggle is taking its toll on Ib.
DeleteYou feel like a candle in a hurricane
ReplyDeleteJust like a picture with a broken frame
Alone and helpless
Like you've lost your fight
But you'll be alright, you'll be alright
Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made of
You might bend, till you break
Cause its all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you've had enough
You get mad you get strong
Wipe your hands shake it off
Then you Stand, Then you stand
Life's like a novel
With the end ripped out
The edge of a canyon
With only one way down
Take what you're given before its gone
Start holding on, keep holding on
Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made of
You might bend till you break
Cause it's all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you've had enough
You get mad, you get strong
Wipe your hands, shake it off
Then you stand, then you stand
Everytime you get up
And get back in the race
One more small piece of you
Starts to fall into place
Oh
Stand by Rascal Flatts has to be one of my favorite songs. It is a song that I listen to when I am upset or having a bad day. It sounds corny, but that is what it I do when I am upset. It is a great pick me up song and always puts me in a better mood. It is a song that starts off saying that someone is either in a bad mood or they are on the verge of breaking down. They are at the lowest point in their life. It seems like you have nowhere else to go and you can’t think of anything else you can do to make things go right. All you have to remember is that you will be alright, nothing can stay bad forever, it can only go up from there. I think it means that when you are feeling like you are at your lowest point it just means that life is trying to show you what you are made of. And when you are down all you have to do is wipe off your hands, stand up, keep your head up, and keep moving forward. Just forget about what happened and move on, make your life better than where you were before. And each time that you get knocked down, getting back up just makes you stronger.
“Happiness” The Fray
ReplyDeleteHappiness is just outside my window
Would it crash blowing 80-miles an hour?
Or is happiness a little more like knocking
On your door, and you just let it in?
Happiness feels a lot like sorrow
Let it be, you can’t make it come or go
But you are gone- not for good but for now
Gone for now feels a lot like gone for good
Happiness is a firecracker sitting on my headboard
Happiness was never mine to hold
Careful child, light the fuse and get away
‘Cause happiness throws a shower of sparks
Happiness damn near destroys you
Breaks your faith to pieces on the floor
So you tell yourself, that’s enough for now
Happiness has a violent roar
Happiness is like the old man told me
Look for it, but you’ll never find it all
Let it go, live your life and leave it
Then one day, wake up and she’ll be home
Home, home, home
This song by The Fray examines the quest for happiness—something that can be both simple yet complex at the same time. The song seemed to perfectly capture this multi-faceted aspect of happiness, often times describing it as a metaphor or personifying it. It is something that essentially everyone—whether a young or old—wants in life. It is something people search for daily—investing their time and emotions in—but as this song explores—where can it be found?
At first, happiness is explained as something nearby—however, in order to obtain it, it is questioned whether it is something that suddenly emerges in one’s life without control or something that arrives quietly and that one has control over. Happiness is also described as being something it’s usually the opposite of—sorrow. Like sorrow, it is described as something that comes and goes as it pleases, but when it leaves, it’s as if it’s gone forever, even though it’s not the case. Happiness, again described in an uncontrolled manner, only this time, it is something huge, monumental—explosive like a firecracker. The song takes a turn when happiness is described as a destructive, intense thing—it is something that perhaps destroys hope within someone—raising his or her expectations, and then letting them down. It’s as if happiness has become something that cannot be experienced in excess or else one will be emotionally devastated or betrayed in some way. By the end of the song, the quest for happiness has taken a softer, uncomplicated route. If constantly being searched for—one will never find it. However, by just living life day by day—abandoning this strong desire for contentment in a sense—one will come eventually find happiness—this sought-after intense, complicated, simple sensation.
In everyone’s life, there are good times and bad times. Through every good time and every bad time there has been one person I could always count on to be there for me, and that was my mother. In every significant moment in my life she has been there right beside me. And today, I stand here in front of you to say goodbye to an amazing woman and to make sure that everyone knows the impact that Nicole Emily Klezer has had on my life, and the lives of countless others. My mother has spent every day since I was born teaching me and helping me to be the best person I can be. She has helped me through everything and today as I stand here giving my speech, I understand why her time has come to pass. I no longer need my mother to shadow me in all of my decisions. She has given me everything she had to give. She has given me the best chance to make it in this world, and that was all she ever wanted.
